Restoration Services

Restore healthy smile function with our range of advanced services

Many dental practices in and around Leominster, Massachusetts, may say their “focus is on you” (the patient). However, their actions do not live up to their words. Our patients’ needs, experience, unique personality, and circumstances are at the heart of everything that A & S Dental Wellness Center of Leominster does – and it shows! In partnership with our dentist, Dr. Yijia Li, many of our patients have been able to hold on to their natural teeth for a lifetime!

Professional exams, cleanings, and preventive services protect the teeth, gums, and mouth. Prompt, quality dental restoration services restore the health, appearance, and function of decayed or otherwise damaged teeth. When oral health is sustained or restored, our patients’ overall sense of wellbeing and health is also sustained. After all, healthy teeth support the good nutrition that fuels our bodies. Healthy gums help keep existing diseases in check and minimize our risks of developing serious, life-altering conditions. Many systemic conditions, from hypertension to respiratory disease, have been associated with specific, gum-disease causing bacteria, as well as periodontal disease-related inflammation.

Do your body good by protecting your mouth and getting back on the right track with the following types of restorative (or teeth-preserving) treatments available at A & S Dental Wellness Center of Leominster:

  • Dental fillings: If tooth decay has progressed to the point where a cavity or hole is present, fillings can quite literally “fill in” the eroded space. In this manner, the tooth’s structure is restored. Fillings are among the most conservative dental restorations available, and modern materials and bonding techniques preserve a maximum amount of natural, healthy tooth structure.
  • Dental crowns: Patients with more extensive decay can benefit from crowns. Large fillings may not provide the structural support your tooth needs to function healthily in the long run. Crowns are made from tooth-like materials and are placed over natural teeth that have been prepared or reduced and shaped to accept the crown. They frequently follow root canal therapy to save a severely infected tooth. Crowns are also necessary parts of tooth replacement, such as for dental bridges and implant-supported dental restorations. Crowned teeth anchor replacement teeth in a conventional bridge, whereas crowns connect to implants placed in the jawbone to restore the part of the tooth that is seen above the gum line. In turn, the implant functions like a tooth root to stabilize crowns as well as partial and complete dentures.
  • Veneers: These thin shells of dental ceramic are largely recommended to resolve cosmetic imperfections, such as minor gaps between teeth and small fractures or chips. Additionally, in attaching these shells to the front surface of the teeth, veneers can also build up a tooth’s natural armor or enamel that has been weakened due to conditions such as bruxism (teeth grinding).
